This is one of my favorite events at the Walt Disney World Resort. It's well worth the wait to watch this amazing show. I mean, after all, it's Cinderella's Castle.shouldn't she be the one to decorate it? But I digress and will admit that even with the Frozen pre-show, I still get chills when the castle sparkles to life. Let's get one thing out in the open: Cinderella's Holiday Wish was the better show. Similar to the gingerbread house, the Beach Club's carousel is life-size and completely edible and features a variety of Disney characters scattered around it. The life size gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian is a marvel to look at and the sweets that you can purchase from the store inside of it has some of the best holiday treats on property. It's truly a work of art and something I look forward to seeing every time I'm in Disney at Christmas.ĭisney's Grand Floridian and Disney's Beach Club resorts feature two of my favorite holiday traditions. Don't forget to check out the Holiday Kitchens as well so you can enjoy unique flavors from all over the world. Each culture shares how they celebrate the holidays in a way that entertains as well as educates. Epcot International Festival of the Holidaysĭuring this festival, the countries of World Showcase come alive with the sights, sounds, and flavors of the holiday season. The projections on the Chinese Theater accompanied with the music (and the pyrotechnics) make this show one you will not want to miss.Ĩ. Wayne and Lanny from ABC's Prep & Landing are the stars of this nighttime spectacular that features scenes from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Mickey's Christmas Carol, and more while the two stars must search for a missing Santa Claus. Sunset Seasons Greetings features characters from The Muppets, Toy Story, and, of course, Frozen. I'll admit that I am not the biggest fan of the Tower of Terror getting a holiday overlay - even if it is only virtual - but I do like the fact that Hollywood Studios received a new show. With so much to see and do at the Walt Disney World Resort during this time of year, I've made a list of the top ten Christmas themed things to see on your winter vacation.

The holiday season is in full swing at the most magical place on earth and everything seems just a bit more magical. January's Pumpkins (with crows, bats, a full moon.I am going to stitch Halloween Night by SanMan Ori.I am Patricia and am excited about this SAL, I am.I am so excited to join in the fun of this SAL.I have finished my BOO! Will post a picture soon.To me this one doesn't look much like an owl so I think I may stitch his ear tufts coming out the top of the pumpkin. It's done on 14 ct plastic canvas with floss. I only managed to stitch one of the owls so I will be doing a few more for this SAL. It's part of a Halloween owl plastic canvas kit I bought last year. It has lots of stitching and other stuff.įor January's pumpkin theme I have chosen a pumpkin owl. :) I have a blog here if anyone is interested. It will be nice to make some new friends. I''m hoping to do all 12 months of both the Halloween and Christmas SAL.I know Lainey and Katie but I'm not sure who else. Lainey's SALs were the perfect thing! I always plan on stitching ornaments and usually never get much done.
I definitely need some smaller things to take a break with. It's my first time with something that big. Right now I have a couple of Heaven and Earth Designs going (and a million other pieces!).
I have 3 grown kids (2 daughters, 1 son), 2 sons-in law and a grandson. :) I live in southern Wisconsin and have been married for 32 years. I also go by Lainey but since we have one here, I will use Elaine.
